What is Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is designed to assist children of varying ages with musculoskeletal, neurological, sensory and motor development problems achieve optimal physical function and development. Their role is to assess each child as an individual and give parents and/or carers appropriate advice regarding treatment through play and/or exercise. Their approach is holistic and may include a range of treatment methods including neurodevelopmental therapy, motor learning and hydrotherapy.
One Step Two Step Paediatric Physiotherapists may address and enhance movement dysfunction in children with:
- Musculoskeletal and orthopaedic impairments
- Neurodevelopmental and neuromuscular impairments such as cerebral palsy
- Motor development and co-ordination difficulties such as autism
Our physiotherapists work with both paediatric and adult clients.
